Our story
Three and a half decades of drainage — one careful pair of hands.
Clear Drains 4 U was formed by Matt Williams to bring major-project drainage discipline to ordinary domestic and commercial work. The business previously traded as Ask Us Drains — same engineers, same vans, same standards, simply rebranded to reflect what we actually do day-to-day. Matt has 35+ years in the Waste Management sector and the confidence to deliver a reputable, reliable service to every client — head of estates or homeowner with a blocked sink.
That experience runs from heritage major-project work — including clearing the blocked Victorian sewer under St Paul's Cathedral and drainage on the Tower Bridge complex — through to the daily reality of domestic customers across Essex and Suffolk who simply need a blocked drain cleared properly, the first time.
We specialise in diagnosis, no-dig repair and full pipe works: drain unblocking, high-pressure jetting, CCTV surveys (including pre-purchase), drain lining, manhole cover replacement and trenchless technology. We support schools throughout Essex and Suffolk with reactive call-outs and planned PPM, and we hold standing arrangements with managed residential estates and commercial clients across the region.
Our yard is at 7 Upland Rd, West Mersea, Colchester CO5 8DX. From there we cover Colchester, Chelmsford, Braintree, Wivenhoe, Ipswich, the rest of Essex and south Suffolk, and we travel into London for heritage and commercial projects that need our experience.
